#ecopledge party

One month ago, at our first rehearsal for The Anthropologists Save The World!, we asked the entire company to join us on a personal mission, alongside creating the full production of a new show for Ice Factory 2017. The impetus behind this collection of short plays is to investigate the potential for change on an individual level. Climate change is our new reality and there are varying opinions on the most effective way to solve the myriad challenges at hand. Can a change of habit or lifestyle on an individual level effect large scale change? Is it possible for us to change in service of the greater good and possibly a future we will never see or know?

Here are the #ecopledges that the team has committed to:

Melissa Moschitto (Artistic Director/Director): vegetarian w/ occasional fish, no more plastic straws

Alexandra Bonesho (Actor): vegetarian

Michael Ables (Actor): more vegan (but needs parmesan)

Jean Goto (Actor): no more single use plastic (plastic forks, cups, coffee tops, plates, etc)

Brian Demar Jones (Actor): more vegetarian

Marianne Hardart (Actor): 100% plant based diet and shorter showers

Aldous (Actor): no more plastic bottles

Mark Cisneros (Actor): vegetarian to vegan 6 days a week with one vegetarian "cheat" day every week.

Brianna Kalisch: to challenge my laziness & self-entitled expectation of convenience specifically as it relates to single use plastic.

Lynde Rosario (Dramaturg): no litter!

Philip Schaffer (Assistant Director/Associate Producer): My eco-pledge is to stop using paper towels altogether! Also transition to vegan.

Mariah Freda (Actor): reduce plastic waste by committing to reusable products including: produce bags, shopping bags, hot/cold coffee cup, water bottle, snack bags & straws

Tiffany McCue (Stage Manager): shorter showers

Ali Hall (Lighting Designer/Production Manager): full vegetarian & no more single use disposable drink containers (This one will be a stretch for me! I use a lot of coffee cups! )

We've put ourselves to the test and we want YOU to join us! Will you team up with a company member and match their #ecopledge? Or create your own? Start today and report back in two weeks at Opening Night!
