Black WOMBman is a one-woman play that soulfully examines the Black Maternal Health Crisis in America through personal testimonies from Black mothers, families, doulas, midwives, healthcare providers, and Black Maternal organizations. The storytelling weaves together theatre, poetry, song, and dance. Black WOMBman serves as a praise to Black maternal love, joy, and resilience; a cry for the pain and loss; and a call to action for justice and equality to put an end to this national crisis.
